The large-scale MA-9 robot, used for installation works and welding operations, capable of carrying a half-ton payload. The manufacturer guarantees a 20 years lifespan. Compared to MA-7 and MA-8, which were capable only of manual or semiautomatic welding, MA-9 utilizes the technology of a fully automated argon-arc welding. Furthermore, MA-10 is expected to be finally certified for laser welding.

Nickname "P-3" - as plutonium, the third discovered element radioactive - was given to Major Nechaev after he ended up badly injured in Professor Sechenov's laboratory. Both hands broken to the elbows, completely fractured left leg and severe concussion. The professor personally reinforced the P-3 with metal prostheses and restored it brain activity.
